Week 4 – Day 2 Homework

OK [wlm_firstname],

Let’s dig into some work around branding. I’m literally swimming in notes right now from Kerrianne’s presentation.

Her discussion about fonts, colors, and images kind of caught me off guard. It’s certainly something that has become so much more important in the past few years. With people’s attention span dwindling, amount of content growing, quality of websites changing, those elements can be responsible for big changes in business.

I hired a designer to take 30 Days Sugar Free from a standard WordPress site to something customized and designed for the demographic it speaks to – and the changes were immediate.

We’ll talk about that over the next few days. Right now, I want to give you a few prompts that are foundational to all of the written, visual, and spoken branding elements.

Let’s get to the meat of your brand:

Put the answers to these in your journal – and don’t stop at the first answer.  The really good stuff is buried under that which comes easy.

Dig into this throughout the week. We’ll use the answers during a module in a few weeks.

  • What do people consistently tell you about your show?  The thing you’ve heard too many times to count?  Be specific – recall the exact words, emotions, phrases. Be as exact as you can as these words will help you create your unique Brand Specialty and Personality.
  • What do clients enjoy most about working with you?  Again, be as specific as you can. Check letters of recommendation, comments you’ve heard after shows, emails you’ve received. Grab the exact words, emotions, and phrases.

I’m cutting this short because there is more here than you can possibly imagine!
