I thought about this final homework most of the day.
Wrote one version and then another. Deleted them both.
Truth is we have come so far and touched so many corners of business, life, beliefs, challenge, vulnerability, creativity, and humanity that’s it’s hard to just say – do this today!
So I have decided to leave it in your hands. On this final day of homework for ShowBiz Blueprint I’m going to ask you: What is the single most important action you can take today to get some traction with a client or opportunity?
- How will you make that action a priority?
- What will you say “no” to in order to have the time you need?
- What are three indicators that you are on the right path and making progress?
- How will you know when you’re done?
Given this challenge (and I have been given this challenge by my coach – many times), I always look to three prompts:
- What am I missing?
- What am I afraid of?
- Who should I be talking to?
I list two or three answers for each prompt and I dig in. Fearlessly. Aggressively. Unapologetically.
So for you, I ask, is it:
- Research
- Time Management
- Networking
- Advertising
- Phone calling
- LinkedIN Messaging
- Organizing
- Recording
- Outsourcing
- Hiring
- Exercising
- Writing
- Proposing a dozen people and not stopping until ‘yes’ or ‘no’
A lot of ‘ing’, eh? This is a challenge to be proactive.
Come back to this page regularly. Bookmark it on your desktop. Ask yourself those three questions and promise yourself you’ll act on the answers.
I trust you to be brave, bold, and creative. Always.
See you in the Alumni Group!
