
Let’s Face It… Larry Benet Kicked Our Butts
His Connection Challenge is going to push you way outside of your comfort zone, [wlm_firstname]. As I said, in 2016 I did one everyday of the year and it became habit. A very profitable and valuable habit, too.
So to get 90 contact touch points in 30 days. I suggest you really start reaching deep:
- back to past end clients
- people you’ve met at conferences and have their card laying around
- producers who have hired you
- members of groups you’re no longer a part of
- parents in your kid’s school groups
- interesting people you’re connected to on LinkedIN but don’t really know
- authors of books you enjoy (Twitter and LinikedIN will help with these)
- service people who you’ve hired in the past decade
- presidents or members of associations you either support or have performed for
- family members – close and distant
And that should get you through most of the 30 days. I couldn’t be any more curious about what this will yield – and none of that is hinged on how much money you make. I’m more curious about the opportunities, conversations, and interactions that will come about for you. It’s like reading a book or seeing a movie that has gotten rave reviews, but I know nothing about!
So the homework is pretty simple – DO The Connection Challenge. Take the journey with me and let’s compare notes. Short texts, custom videos from your phone, a shared article, a social media mention that is valuable and from the heart, or even a phone call. Three a day for 30 days.
I have this feeling I’m going to be singing Happy Birthday into my phone at least a dozen times! I got one of these from Larry last April 15th and was pretty much floored. I ran into the house like a kid and showed it to my wife!
Building Your List
Preparation is huge in a challenge like this. Use the categories I listed above and put 9 names under each category and you have your 90 contacts. Of course you can modify your list – my categories are a blueprint for me and possibly just a kick start for you.

Write a paragraph about why aren’t in and post it to the Facebook Group. I’d be so curious to read why you’re in this program and not sucking every bit of marrow from the bones. Especially the bones of a man like Larry Benet who is walking the talk, and playing at that level.
The rest of the week we dig into the Sales Funnel. There are a lot of moving parts in there and we’ll make them all work perfectly.
