Earlier this week I spoke for a minute or two (sans slides) about passive income.
After spending 33+ years on stage I can tell you that no money is as good as the money I make when I’m sleeping, or not on an airplane, or not on stage. Seriously, the work I have put into building online projects that earn when I’m doing something is, as a guy in my mastermind group calls it, money from heaven.
I can’t attest to the Godliness of it, but it is wonderful to put in a lot of work one time, and reap the benefits for years to come. That is 180 degrees from the paradigm we live as performers who are paid to perform.
Before long I’m going to surprise you with a bonus webinar (there goes the surprise) that goes into the systems I use for my passive income projects. This has nothing to do with showbiz, except that really, all biz is showbiz if it’s going to be successful. Every business needs to stand out, be special, separate itself from the flock. And that is where we have a huge advantage.
There are 8 alumni of ShowBiz Blueprint who have created passive income business after taking this course. They were inspired by a lesson that I will share with you after the bonus webinar.
For today, however, I want to ask you to dream a little dream. Ponder and record some answers to these prompts:
- What do you know that others really want to know?
- What special skills do you have to present the material?
- What makes you the perfect person to present it?
- Is there a market for your knowledge (check Amazon and see if there are books on it. If there aren’t – get a new idea!)
- Is there a solution to the problem available online in the form of a program? (There probably should be… if not, might be too small a niche/idea)
- How would you like to deliver the content? You’ve just seen a 10-week webinar format. You have access to a written/video course (GMCG). You pay for a service format (cell phone, software, etc). You already tour and read books – would you like to write one?
And FYI, it wouldn’t be terrible if your idea for passive income could connect to television news segments and a viral video idea. I know that’s a lot of intersection, but I’m just planing a seed.
If something good comes from this, and I trust it will, please post it on the group. I want to stand behind you in this chapter of your life because honestly, there’s nothing like passive income to bring you more security and belief in your ability to play bigger.
