I’m not even going to pretend that yesterday’s assignment could have been done well in one day. I work on assignments like that constantly and with each session it gets better, tighter, simpler.
Today – open up what you did yesterday and go over it with the beginner’s mind, the distracted mind, the ‘I have no idea who you are’ mind – and see if it’s clear and meaningful.
Especially look for:
- Is the headline clear and engaging?
- Is the copy about YOU – or could it be about anyone?
- Do you speak to a specific type of buyer with a certain problem?
- Is there a clear call to action?
In week 8 we will be putting this copy to use. Take some time today to make sure it’s a vast improvement over what you currently sport on your website.
