Week 10 – Day 2 Homework

We spent an hour yesterday talking about being on television news. It’s a valuable asset in your media kit because those network logos still carry a heck of a lot of weight. Surprising, and very true.

So whether that part of the program spoke to you or not, today I’m going to ask you to pretend it did. What are three possible segment titles you could put some time and energy into creating? And to push you even further, because I know you love it when I do, write what comes up for you around these prompts:

  • Segment title
  • Statistic
  • Quote
  • Formula
  • Demonstration
  • Call to Action for the viewer

What if you had to do it? What if your local NBC affiliate called you tomorrow and said you had 4 minutes. What are you going to talk about and how is the viewer going to be better off?
